This course introduces the concepts, theories, and technologies that underpin modern e-learning environments. Students examine major learning theories and their application in the design of effective online learning experiences. The course develops practical skills in using e-learning tools and platforms, applying learning design methods, and evaluating learning effectiveness and outcomes. Students also explore instructional systems design approaches for developing engaging multimedia and interactive learning content. In addition, the course examines learning platforms such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Learning Experience Platforms (LXP), as well as emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence and Virtual and Augmented Reality. Professional and ethical issues related to digital learning, including copyright and intellectual property, are also discussed through practical activities and case studies.
