At the completion of this course student will be able to;
Recall and define fundamental concepts in data communication, including signal modulation, networking topologies, and OSI and TCP/IP models.
Demonstrate comprehension of channel access methods, TCP/IP protocol suite, and the structure of the Internet, distinguishing between various networking devices on Layer 2/3 and their functions.
Apply subnetting, and routing, principles to design and configure a network, utilizing IPv6 addressing and transitioning mechanisms.
Analyze transport layer protocols (TCP and UDP) for guaranteed data deliver, and assess the impact of IPv6 adoption on existing network infrastructures.
Develop and present a comprehensive set of practicals, showcasing the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of a small-scale network, integrating all learned methods and protocols adhering to networking standards.
